Azoo 2 Fan Cooling Unit (Update)

Well the unit has been running for two days now. While the graphing functionality of the RKE will not be operational until I get my Net module next week, the temperature of the tank appears to have gone down.
The temperature was just cracking 84 degrees before lights out, and today the temperature did not break 82. So 2 degrees is a good start. I plan on being around the house all day Sunday, so I am going to remove all the heaters in the system except for one 250W Stealth, and monitor the tank’s temperature cycle all day.
As I have been thinking back, I have never had a heat problem before in the tank so I am beginning to believe that a heater may be stuck on. Since nothing else has changed in the system, I am leaning in that direction. My other guesses are that I have always had a slight heat issue and didn’t know it, or the RKE temp sensor is off. I am going to try to find a standard floating mercury thermometer to double check the RKE’s readings.

The Azoo fan units are great for the price. I recently removed my 4 unit fan to clean the salt creep off and decided that I should just buy a new one. Since having done that, my tank has been reaching point at which the halide cuts off for high temps, which is ~2*F after the fans should come on. It never gets to that point with the fans on… maybe once in a while in the dead heat of summer…

Mine seems to be working great. I still haven’t made the time to remove heaters. Hopefully that will solve the problem permanently.
